أميركا ترفع 84 شخصا وشركة من قائمة العقوبات في ظل مراجعة

رفعت وزارة الخزانة الأميركية اليوم الاثنين 84 شخصا وشركة من قوائم العقوبات التي تضم أكثر من 17 ألف اسم، وذلك في إطار جهود أوسع نطاقا لتبسيط برامج العقوبات وتسهيل مهمة البنوك في ملاحقة أخطر مخططات تمويل الإرهاب.

وكان وزير الخزانة سكوت بيسنت بدأ في مايو/ أيار مراجعة شاملة لبرامج وقوائم العقوبات التابعة لوزارته بهدف إزالة البنود التي عفا عليها الزمن وتخفيف أعباء الامتثال عن كاهل المؤسسات المالية، وأعلن لاحقا عن شطب 76 هدفا عفا عليها الزمن.

وقال مسؤول في وزارة الخزانة إن الهدف هو “ضمان أن تظل عقوبات وزارة الخزانة فعالة ودقيقة ومركزة، وإزالة الزيادات غير الضرورية المتبقية من الإدارات السابقة”، مشيرا إلى إدراج أكثر من 3000 اسم في 2024، مقارنة مع 880 اسماً فقط في 2017. وأضاف “العقوبات ليست مخصصة لتكون أداة أبدية”.

وسلط بيسنت الضوء مراراً على استعداد إدارة الرئيس دونالد ترامب لفرض عقوبات على أكبر شركتين نفطيتين في روسيا، روسنفت ولوك أويل، وهي خطوة تجنبتها إدارة الرئيس السابق جو بايدن خوفاً من ارتفاع إضافي في أسعار النفط بعد الغزو الروسي الشامل لأوكرانيا في عام 2022.
