إعصار “ميتش”.. من قسوته شُطب من السجلات!

ما يعرفه ريفو عن الخبر

تسبب إعصار ميتش في فيضانات وانهيارات طينية أدت لوفاة نحو 11 ألف شخص في أمريكا الوسطى.
أدى توقف الإعصار فوق هندوراس لثلاثة أيام إلى هطول أمطار غزيرة وتضخيم حجم الكارثة.
تضافرت العوامل الطبيعية مع الأنشطة البشرية مثل قطع الغابات لتفاقم أضرار الفيضانات والانهيارات الأرضية.
تم سحب اسم ميتش من سجلات الأعاصير بسبب الدمار الهائل والخسائر البشرية غير المسبوقة التي خلفها.

يُعد إعصار “ميتش” في 29 أكتوبر 1998 واحدا من أكثر الأعاصير المدارية فتكا في تاريخ حوض المحيط الأطلسي.
