إيبولا يحصد 5 آلاف في الكونغو.. والوباء يتجاوز الحدود

ما يعرفه ريفو عن الخبر

تجاوز عدد الوفيات بسبب فيروس إيبولا في جمهورية الكونغو الديمقراطية حاجز 5 آلاف شخص في أعلى حصيلة تاريخية للبلاد.
أكدت وزارة الصحة الكونغولية تسجيل 5103 وفيات من أصل 10467 إصابة مؤكدة منذ بدء التفشي في مايو الماضي.
أدى انتشار الفيروس إلى تسجيل إصابات في دول أفريقية أخرى مثل كينيا ونيجيريا وأوغندا مما أثار مخاوف من انتقال العدوى عبر الحدود.
أعلنت السعودية تدابير احترازية شملت تعليق سفر مواطنيها إلى كينيا ومنع دخول المسافرين القادمين من مناطق تشهد تفشيا نشطا للفيروس.

أكثر من 5 آلاف وفاة و10 آلاف إصابة، والفيروس يصل إلى دول أفريقية أخرى، بينما تعرقل النزاعات جهود احتوائه. فهل تتمكن السلطات الصحية من وقف أخطر تفشٍّ لإيبولا تشهده الكونغو؟
