أجرى وزير الخارجية المصري اتصالاً هاتفياً مع كبير مستشاري الرئيس الأمريكي للشئون العربية والأفريقية للتنسيق بشأن القضايا الإقليمية.
أكد الوزير المصري على موقف مصر الثابت الداعم لوحدة السودان وسيادته وسلامة أراضيه وضرورة الحفاظ على مؤسساته الوطنية.
ناقش الطرفان مستجدات الأوضاع في ليبيا وسبل دفع العملية السياسية وإنهاء حالة الانقسام والحفاظ على وحدة الدولة.
تطرق الاتصال لمسألة ترسيم الحدود البحرية وفقاً لمبادئ القانون الدولي والاتفاقية الدولية لقانون البحار.
