ارتفاع أسعار الوقود يهدد بانهيار أسطول الصيد البريطاني ويضع القطاع في أزمة

حذر قادة قطاع الصيد في بريطانيا من انهيار الأسطول وتهديد استمرارية الشركات بسبب ارتفاع أسعار الوقود.
تجاوزت تكلفة الوقود اللازمة لرحلات الصيد العائد المتوقع من بيع الأسماك المصطادة مما يضع القطاع في أزمة اقتصادية.
يفتقر الصيادون البريطانيون لدعم استثنائي لأسعار الوقود متاح للصيادين الأوروبيين مما يزيد الضغوط المالية عليهم.
حذر ممثلو القطاع من أن غياب الدعم الحكومي يهدد الأمن الغذائي الوطني ويجبر بريطانيا على استيراد الأسماك من الخارج.
