  • صادق مجلس النواب الليبي على مذكرة التفاهم مع تركيا لترسيم مجالات الصلاحية البحرية بعد سبع سنوات من الرفض.
  • أعلنت القاهرة رفضها الحاسم للاتفاقية واعتبرتها باطلة لأنها تمس حقوقها السيادية في منطقتها الاقتصادية الخالصة وجرفها القاري.
  • تعتبر أنقرة الاتفاقية ذات مشروعية قانونية وسياسية كاملة رغم اعتراض بعض الدول المعنية.
  • يواجه القاهرة خيار تعزيز تحالفاتها مع اليونان وقبرص وإسرائيل للحد من المكاسب التركية في ظل غياب أمريكي.

في خطوة بدلت التحالفات في شرق المتوسط، أنهى برلمان شرق ليبيا 7 سنوات من القطيعة بمصادقته على الاتفاقية مع أنقرة؛ تحول رسّخ مكاسب تركيا، وفجّر مواجهة دبلوماسية مع القاهرة على الغاز والجرف القاري.
