وقال كبير الاقتصاديين لمنطقة أفريقيا في البنك الدولي، آندرو دابالين، إن النشاط الاقتصادي في أفريقيا جنوب الصحراء يواصل إظهار متانة ملحوظة، مع رفع توقعات النمو لنحو ثلاثة أرباع دول المنطقة.

وفي الوقت نفسه، أشار دابالين إلى استمرار عدد من المخاطر، من بينها احتمال امتداد الصراع في الشرق الأوسط لفترة أطول، وظاهرة النينيو المناخية، وارتفاع أسعار الفائدة في الاقتصادات المتقدمة، وزيادة أعباء خدمة الديون.
