  • أكدت وزارة الخارجية أن دير سانت كاترين متواجد في مصر منذ 1600 عام مع ضمان حرية الشعائر وحركة الرهبان.
  • تلقى وزير الخارجية خطاباً من مطران الدير بالموافقة على توقيع العقد الخاص بالدير والأراضي المحيطة به.
  • يأتي توقيع العقد تنفيذاً لحكم قضائي صادر عن محكمة استئناف الإسماعيلية في 25 مايو 2025.
  • أكدت الوزارة التزام مصر بصون المكانة الروحية والدينية للدير كأحد أعرق المعالم التراثية في العالم.

أكد السفير نادر زكي، المتحدث باسم وزارة الخارجية، أن دير سانت كاترين متواجد في مصر منذ 1600 عام، وحرية الشعائر مصانة وحرية حركة الرهبان مصانة.
