العراق يحقق الاكتفاء الذاتي من القمح ويتلقى عروضاً للتصدير

رجح مسؤول عراقي أن يبلغ إنتاج العراق من محصول القمح “الحنطة” لموسم الحصاد للعام الحالي مستوى 5 ملايين طن.

وقال محسن النامس، المدير العام لشركة تصنيع الحبوب في العراق، إن هذا المستوى من الإنتاج “كاف لتأمين مخزون استراتيجي يمتد حتى نهاية العام المقبل 2027”.

وأضاف أن “العراق حقق الاكتفاء الذاتي بنسبة 100٪ من مادة الطحين لتأمين السلة الغذائية للمواطنين والأفران والمخابز”، وفقاً لوكالة الأنباء الألمانية “د ب أ”.

وتابع: “تلقينا عروضاً من دول الجوار لاستيراد الطحين العراقي لكننا نعمل حالياً على سد متطلبات الاستهلاك الداخلي وتلبية الطلب المتزايد من النمو السكاني والاقتصادي”.

وكان العراق قد انسحب من عملية استيراد القمح من الأسواق العالمية خلال السنوات الخمس الأخيرة بعد أن استطاع تحقيق أرقام قياسية في إنتاج القمح جراء دعم المزارعين واعتماد سياسة لتشجيع زراعة القمح باستخدام وسائل الري الحديثة فضلاً عن دعم المزارعين بالحبوب والأسمدة وضمان شراء كامل الكمية المنتجة.
