حطم الفلسطينيون في شرقي القدس أرقاماً قياسية في التصويت لانتخابات الكنيست منذ عام 1967.
صوت أكثر من 10 آلاف ناخب لصالح القائمة المشتركة بهدف إزاحة سموتريتش وبن غفير من الحكومة.
يعتبر المشاركون الواسعة كسرًا للمحظور السياسي والاجتماعي وتأثيراً إيجابياً على الانتخابات البلدية القادمة.
يعكس التغيير في نمط التصويت مراحل اندماج الفلسطينيين في مجالات العمل والتعليم والخدمات.

حطمت نسبة تصويت الفلسطينيين في شرقي القدس كل الأرقام القياسية منذ ضم شرقي القدس في العام1967، وكانت أعلى بثلاثة أضعاف مما كان في الانتخابات السابقة. لقد مارس أكثر من 10 آلاف من السكان حقهم الانتخابي، وصوتت الغالبية العظمى للقائمة المشتركة، ونسب كثير من الناخبين هذا القرار إلى الرغبة في إزاحة سموتريتش وبن غفير من الحكومة.
