“القدس العربي” تسأل السفير الأمريكي: لماذا تتجاهلون 33 قرارا للجمعية العامة تطالب بفك الحصار عن كوبا؟

دافع السفير الأمريكي لدى الأمم المتحدة عن موقف واشنطن من الحظر المفروض على كوبا رغم وجود 33 قراراً من الجمعية العامة تطالب برفعه.
أكد السفير الأمريكي أن تصويت واشنطن ضد قرار إنهاء الحظر هو جزء من حقها السيادي ورفض اتهامات بأن سياساتها تسببت في معاناة الشعب الكوبي.
أوضح السفير أن الملف النووي الإيراني يخضع لقرارات مجلس الأمن بسبب انتهاكات طهران لالتزاماتها، مؤكداً أن منع إيران من امتلاك سلاح نووي هو أولوية أمريكية.
دعا السفير الأمريكي إلى إصلاح منظمة الأمم المتحدة لتعزيز تركيزها على حفظ السلام والأمن الدوليين وتحسين كفاءة استخدام الموارد المتاحة.
