المغرب يعلن ترشحه لعضوية مجلس الأمن للفترة 2028-2029

أعلنت المملكة المغربية رسمياً ترشحها لشغل مقعد غير دائم في مجلس الأمن التابع للأمم المتحدة، خلال الفترة 2028-2029، في خطوة تعكس رغبة الرباط في مواصلة حضورها داخل أبرز أجهزة المنظمة الأممية المعنية بقضايا السلم والأمن الدوليين.

وجاء الإعلان على لسان وزير الشؤون الخارجية والتعاون الإفريقي والمغاربة المقيمين بالخارج، ناصر بوريطة، خلال مشاركته في المناقشة العامة للدورة الـ81 للجمعية العامة للأمم المتحدة بنيويورك.

وأوضح بوريطة أن الترشيح يندرج ضمن توجه المغرب لتعزيز مساهمته في العمل متعدد الأطراف، والدفع نحو مقاربة تقوم على التعاون والحوار واحترام مبادئ القانون الدولي، إلى جانب مواصلة الإسهام في جهود حفظ السلم والأمن الدوليين.

ويأتي هذا الترشيح بعد تجربة للمملكة داخل مجلس الأمن، إذ سبق لها أن شغلت العضوية غير الدائمة ثلاث مرات، خلال فترات 1963-1964 و1992-1993 و2012-2013.

ويضم مجلس الأمن 15 عضواً، بينهم خمسة أعضاء دائمين، وعشرة أعضاء غير دائمين تنتخبهم الجمعية العامة للأمم المتحدة لمدة عامين. وتُنتخب الدول غير الدائمة مع مراعاة التوزيع الجغرافي العادل بين مجموعات الأمم المتحدة.

وكان المغرب قد حظي، خلال السنوات الماضية، بإعلانات دعم من عدد من الدول لترشحه للفترة 2028-2029، من بينها كمبوديا وبوروندي وسيراليون، في إطار تحركات دبلوماسية مرتبطة بالترشيح.

ومن المنتظر أن يشكل هذا الترشيح محطة جديدة في مسار الحضور المغربي داخل المؤسسات الدولية، في وقت تواصل فيه المملكة التأكيد على أهمية إصلاح مجلس الأمن وتعزيز تمثيلية القارة الإفريقية داخل منظومة الأمم المتحدة.
