المكسيك توافق على استقبال منتخب إيران في كأس العالم

أكدت الرئيسة المكسيكية كلوديا شينباوم، اليوم الاثنين، أن حكومتها وافقت على السماح للمنتخب الإيراني لكرة القدم بالبقاء في المكسيك خلال كأس العالم، مضيفة أن الولايات المتحدة لم ترغب في استضافة الفريق.

وقال رئيس الاتحاد الإيراني لكرة القدم يوم السبت إن مقر الفريق سيكون في مدينة تيخوانا الحدودية المكسيكية خلال البطولة.

ويوجد المنتخب الإيراني في المجموعة السابعة، وسيفتتح مشواره بمواجهة نيوزيلندا بلوس أنجلوس في 15/ يونيو، ثم بلجيكا في المدينة نفسها، ويختتم مبارياته في المجموعة بمواجهة مصر في سياتل.
وحاليا يتواجد المنتخب الإيراني في معسكر تدريبي بمدينة أنطاليا جنوب تركيا، وتوجه بعض أعضاء المنتخب إلى السفارة الأمريكية في أنقرة الخميس لتقديم طلبات الحصول على تأشيرة.

ومن المقرر أن يلعب المنتخب الإيراني مباراة ودية ضد منتخب غامبيا في 29/ مايو، قبل أن يعلن المدرب أمير قالينوي عن قائمته النهائية لكأس العالم بحلول 2/ يونيو.

وتقام النسخة الثالثة والعشرون من بطولة كأس العالم في الولايات المتحدة وكندا والمكسيك من 11/ يونيو إلى 19/ يوليو.
