الهند: ملك من القرن السابع عشر يتحول إلى رمز جديد لمعاداة الإسلام لدى القوميين الهندوس

تم وضع تماثيل لشيفاجي ماهراج في عدة مدن بالهند منذ عام 2022 من قبل مجموعات قومية من الهندوس. ويعتبر هؤلاء أن هذا الملك الذي عاش في القرن السابع عشر بمثابة رمز للدفاع عن الهندوس ضد المسلمين. وتعد هذه التصرفات حلقة جديدة في مناخ العداء ضد المسلمين والمسيحيين الذي يقع استهدافهم باستمرار منذ وصول حزب ناريندرا مودي “بي جي بي” إلى السلطة.
