انفجار نووي قرب كويكب.. علماء يختبرون سيناريو حماية الأرض

ما يعرفه ريفو عن الخبر

قام باحثون بمحاكاة استجابة كويكب لانفجار نووي قرب سطحه كخيار دفاعي لحماية الأرض.
أظهرت الحسابات أن نبضة الأشعة السينية قادرة على إلحاق ضرر جسيم بالكويكب وتفتيته إلى شظايا.
أظهرت إحدى المحاكاة تضرر نحو 98% من مادة كويكب يبلغ حجمه نحو 160 مترا.
يُعد الخيار النووي إجراء محتمل لحالات الطوارئ خاصة إذا كان الكويكب كبيرا أو وقت التحضير قصيرا.

اختبر علماء من مخبر “لورنس ليفرمور” الوطني الأمريكي على الحاسوب ما قد يحدث إذا انفجرت شحنة نووية بالقرب من كويكب.
