تأهل الإيطالي ماتيا بيلوتشي إلى الدور الثالث من بطولة بطولة شتوتجارت المفتوحة للتنس بعد فوزه على الألماني يانيك هانفمان في منافسات فردي الرجال ضمن الدور الثاني، الأربعاء.
وفاز بيلوتشي بالمجموعة الأولى بنتيجة 7 / 5، ورد الألماني بحسم المجموعة الثانية لصالحه بنتيجة 7 / 6 (7 / 4) غير أن الإيطالي حسم المجموعة الثالثة لصالحه بنتيجة 6 / 2.
وينتظر اللاعب الإيطالي في دور الثمانية مواجهة إما الأمريكي تايلور فريتز أو الإسباني مارتن لاندالوس.
كما ودع الألماني الآخر، يان لينارد شتروف المصنف 80 عالميًا البطولة بالخسارة أمام الكازاخي ألكسندر بوبليك، المصنف الثالث في هذه البطولة.
واحتاج بوبليك المصنف العاشر عالميًا إلى ساعة و43 دقيقة لإقصاء شتروف بعد مباراة من ثلاث مجموعات.
أنهى النجم الكازاخي المجموعة الأولى لصالحه بنتيجة 7 / 6 (7 / 3)، وتعادل شتروف بالفوز 6 / 3 في المجموعة الثانية، قبل أن ينتزع بوبليك بطاقة التأهل بالفوز 6 / 2 في المجموعة الثالثة.
وفي مواجهة أخرى، فاز الفرنسي جيوفاني مبيتشي بريكار على البلجيكي جوتييه أونكلين بنتيجة 7 / 6 (7 / 1) و6 / 2، بعد مباراة امتدت لساعة و19 دقيقة.
وسيلعب بريكار في الدور المقبل ضد الكازاخي ألكسندر بوبليك.
