أعلن نتنياهو تنفيذ عملية واسعة وقوية في الضفة الغربية لم يشهدها الاحتلال منذ حرب عام 1967.
أقرت الحكومة الإسرائيلية إنشاء أكثر من 100 مستوطنة وبؤرة استيطانية جديدة مع التعهد ببناء المزيد.
فرضت قوات الاحتلال حصاراً على مدينة الخليل وأمرت الأهالي بإخلاء بيوتهم في مناطق واسعة منها.
يستخدم الائتلاف الحاكم تصعيد عمليات القمع في الضفة الغربية كأداة انتخابية في ظل فترة سياسية متوترة.

يربط المقال بين التصعيد الإسرائيلي في الضفة الغربية والحسابات الانتخابية لنتنياهو، محذرا من اتساع العمليات العسكرية والعقوبات الجماعية، واحتمال اندلاع انتفاضة فلسطينية وتفجر مواجهة جديدة مع إيران.
