تايلاند تعزز المحادثات مع أميركا وسط تنامي ضغط الرسوم الجمركية

حثت تايلاند الولايات المتحدة على تسريع المفاوضات بشأن اتفاق للتجارة المتبادلة، في إطار سعي بانكوك إلى التوصل إلى رسوم جمركية تنافسية والحصول على مزيد من الوضوح بشأن تحقيقين أميركيين يتم إجراؤهما بموجب المادة 301.

وأجرت نائبة رئيس الوزراء، وزيرة التجارة التايلاندية، سوفاجي سوثامبون، محادثات ثنائية مع ثلاثة مسؤولين أميركيين كبار في واشنطن يومي 15 و16 يوليو الحالي.

وشملت اللقاءات كبيرة موظفي البيت الأبيض سوزي وايلز، ووزير التجارة الأميركي هوارد لوتنيك، ونائب الممثل التجاري الأميركي ريك سويتزر، وفقاً لوكالة الأنباء الألمانية “د ب أ”.

وقالت سوفاجي إن الهدف الرئيسي من الزيارة كان تحقيق أكبر قدر ممكن من التقدم في المفاوضات بشأن اتفاق التجارة المتبادلة بين تايلاند والولايات المتحدة.

كما تابع الوفد التايلاندي مستجدات التحقيقين الأميركيين بموجب المادة 301، وسعى إلى تعزيز العلاقات الاقتصادية والاستثمارية بين البلدين، ووصفت سوفاجي المحادثات بأنها إيجابية.
