تثبيت سعر الفائدة الرئيسية في أستراليا

أعلن بنك الاحتياطي الأسترالي (المركزي) اليوم الثلاثاء الإبقاء على سعر الفائدة الرئيسية دون تغيير، كما كان متوقعاً على نطاق واسع.

وقرر مجلس السياسة النقدية برئاسة محافظ البنك ميشيل بولوك تثبيت سعر الفائدة الرئيسية عند مستوى 4.35%.

وكان البنك قد رفع الفائدة 3 مرات بمقدار 25 نقطة أساس في كل مرة خلال شهور فبراير/شباط ومارس/آذار ومايو/أيار الماضية.

وأشار المجلس إلى أنه من غير المتوقع عودة معدل التضخم إلى منتصف النطاق المستهدف حتى أواخر 2027، مع وجود مخاطر ارتفاع معدل التضخم عن هذه التوقعات.

وقال البنك المركزي في بيان: “نظراً لاعتبار السياسة النقدية تقييدية إلى حد ما، قرر مجلس السياسة النقدية الإبقاء على سعر الفائدة الأساسي دون تغيير حتى يقيم تطورات الاقتصاد”، مضيفا أن “المجلس سيواصل اتخاذ ما يراه ضروريا لإعادة التضخم بشكل مستدام إلى النطاق المستهدف، بما في ذلك رفع سعر الفائدة الأساسي إذا ما تحققت مخاطر ارتفاع التضخم”.
