حذر دومينيك دوفيلبان من خطر انزلاق فرنسا إلى حرب أهلية بسبب تصاعد العنف في الاحتجاجات.
اتهم الرئيس إيمانويل ماكرون جماعات اليسار المتطرف بالسعي لإسقاط الجمهورية عقب أعمال عنف ونهب واسعة.
حظر السلطات الفرنسية احتجاجات مقررة في عدة مدن بعد أحداث تظاهرات شهدت اشتباكات وأعمال نهب.
اقترح دوفيلبان تنظيم منتديات عامة للجمهورية وتقديم حلول اقتصادية وأمنية لمواجهة الأزمة الحالية.

دعا رئيس الوزراء الفرنسي الأسبق والمرشح الرئاسي المحتمل دومينيك دوفيلبان الأحزاب والمرشحين للرئاسة إلى الاتفاق على أرضية مشتركة تتضمن احترام دولة القانون، وخفض العجز العام إلى أقل من 3%.
