تراجعت العقود الآجلة للأسهم الأمريكية بشكل حاد عقب تحقيق الحزب الديمقراطي انتصارات في انتخابات التجديد النصفي.
انخفضت العقود الآجلة لمؤشر ستاندرد آند بورز 500 بنسبة 1.3%، ومؤشر ناسداك 100 بنسبة 2.2%، ومؤشر داو جونز بنسبة 0.8%.
أثارت نتائج الانتخابات حالة من عدم اليقين لدى المستثمرين بشأن التداعيات المحتملة على السياسات الضريبية والإنفاق الحكومي وتنظيم قطاعات التكنولوجيا.
