أكدت دراسة جديدة أن مشاهدة مخالفات الآخرين تدفع الأفراد لارتكاب مخالفات أشد وتدعم المثل القائل بأن تفاحة واحدة قد تفسد السلة.
أظهرت النتائج أن مشاهدة مخالفات صارخة من الآخرين أدت إلى زيادة حجم المخالفات لدى المشاركين بشكل كبير.
أظهرت المحاكاة الحاسوبية أن تصعيد الأقلية لسلوكهم قد يدفع جماعة بأكملها إلى دوامة من المخالفات تخرج عن السيطرة.
أشار باحثون إلى أن تأثير سلوك الآخرين على الأفراد يعتمد بشكل كبير على مدى التقارب في الهوية والسياسة.

تجاوز الأفراد حجم المخالفات التي يشاهدون الآخرين يرتكبونها قد يحوّل الالتزام العام بالقواعد، خلال وقت قصير، إلى موجة واسعة من الانتهاكات…
