جبل إتنا يواصل قذف الرماد والمشاكل تلاحق آلاف المصطافين

تقطعت السبل بآلاف المصطافين في جزيرة صقلية الإيطالية، اليوم الثلاثاء، بينما واصل جبل إتنا قذف سحب من الرماد بعد ثورانه الأسبوع الماضي.

ولم يتمكن سوى عدد قليل من الطائرات من الإقلاع والهبوط في أكبر مطار بالجزيرة في كاتانيا جنوب جبل إتنا مباشرة.

رماد بركاني يعطل جدول الرحلات الجوية في صقلية

وتمكنت طائرة واحدة فقط من الإقلاع في رحلة داخلية صباح اليوم، بينما تم تعليق جميع عمليات الهبوط حتى المساء.

ويواصل البركان الأكثر نشاطا بأوروبا، قذف كميات كبيرة من الرماد وقطع الصخور المتوهجة منذ يوم الجمعة الماضية.

وبحسب المعهد الوطني للجيوفيزياء وعلوم البراكين، تتدفق كميات الحمم البركانية الكثيفة من فوهتين على ارتفاع 2360 مترا و2750 مترا.

وخلال الليل، تشكلت فوهة جديدة على ارتفاع نحو 1900 مترا.

جدير بالذكر أن جبل “إتنا”، الذي يزيد ارتفاعه عن 3300 متر، عادة ما يثور بانتظام ويخضع لمراقبة مستمرة.

وتم تعليق الحركة الجوية الآن لليوم الخامس على التوالي في ذروة موسم العطلات مع اتخاذ سلطات الطيران لقرارات بشأن حركة الطيران في إشعار قصير.

ويخضع مطار كاتانيا حالياً لأعلى مستوى تحذير باللون الأحمر.
