جدل ومخاوف في سوريا إثر تقييد قبول النساء بتخصصات جامعية

أثارت قواعد القبول الجامعي الجديدة في سوريا جدلاً واسعاً بسبب تقييد قبول النساء في تخصصات محددة بكليات الدفاع والأمن.
تفرض القواعد الجديدة قيوداً على النساء في تخصصات أمنية وعسكرية، بينما تفرض قيوداً على الرجال في مجالات مثل التمريض ورياض الأطفال.
انتقدت منظمة هيومن رايتس ووتش هذه الإجراءات واعتبرتها تمييزاً يخل بالالتزامات الدولية ويقيد دور المرأة في مؤسسات الدولة.
تضمنت التعديلات التعليمية الأخرى إزالة صور نساء بشعر مكشوف من الكتب المدرسية وتعديل صور لرجال يرقصون.

أثار الإعلان عن منع النساء من الالتحاق ببعض التخصصات في مؤسسات التعليم العالي السورية جدلا متصاعدا، وسط مخاوف لدى منتقدين من أن يكون القرار مؤشرا على توجه الحكومة السورية الجديدة نحو فرض مزيد من القيود على حقوق المرأة.
