 جرى اتصال هاتفي هذا اليوم بين حضرة صاحب الجلالة الملك حمد بن عيسى آل خليفة ملك البلاد المعظم حفظه الله ورعاه، وفخامة الرئيس فلاديمير بوتين رئيس روسيا الاتحادية الصديقة.
 
وخلال الاتصال، بحث جلالة الملك المعظم مع فخامة الرئيس الروسي مسار العلاقات الثنائية الوثيقة، ومختلف جوانب التعاون والعمل المشترك بين البلدين وسبل دعمه وتنميته في كافة المجالات التي تعزز مصالحهما المشتركة.
 
كما استعرض الجانبان عددًا من القضايا والمستجدات الإقليمية والدولية محل الاهتمام المشترك، وتبادلا وجهات النظر بشأنها، وفي مقدمتها تطور الأحداث في المنطقة وتداعياتها الخطيرة على الأمن والسلم الإقليمي والدولي، وتأثيراتها على حرية الملاحة الدولية وأمن الطاقة والاقتصاد العالمي، حيث جرى التأكيد على العمل معًا من أجل استتباب الأمن والاستقرار والسلام في المنطقة والعالم، لما فيه خير الشعوب كافة.
