يؤدي سلوك التفرد الأمريكي وإجبار الحلفاء على اتباع سياسات واشنطن دون تبصر إلى إلحاق أضرار جسيمة بالشركاء التقليديين وبالدول المجاورة.
تسببت قرارات أحادية مثل غزو العراق والانسحاب من الاتفاق النووي مع إيران في فوضى أمنية واضطرابات اقتصادية عالمية.
أدت السياسات الأمريكية الأخيرة إلى إثقال كاهل الحلفاء الأوروبيين بأعباء دفاعية وتأثرت اقتصادات دول المنطقة مثل الأردن بسبب تداعيات الحروب.
يظهر تناقض في النهج الأمريكي حيث يلتزم واشنطن بالكامل بالسياسات الإسرائيلية في المنطقة رغم تبنيها لنهج التفرد مع الآخرين.
