تحولت الهجمات السيبرانية إلى سلاح يستهدف البنية التحتية للدول والأنظمة التي تدير المرافق الحيوية.
أدت الهجمات الإلكترونية في أوروبا إلى تعطيل أنظمة تبريد طبية واختراق بنك فرنسي وسرقة 100 مليون يورو.
تعد الهجمات السيبرانية أداة في الحرب الهجينة التي تهدف لإحداث اضطرابات اقتصادية ومجتمعية وأمنية دون مواجهة عسكرية مباشرة.
