درجات الحرارة تتجاوز مستويات خطيرة في واشنطن.. وتعطل احتفالات الاستقلال

أعلن منظمو معرض “Great American State Fair” -الذي يُقام في ساحة “ناشيونال مول”- يوم الجمعة عن إغلاق الفعالية بسبب الحرارة الشديدة، مع وجود خطط لإعادة فتحها في الساعة الخامسة مساءً.

وكانت العاصمة قد سجلت درجة حرارة بلغت 100 درجة فهرنهايت (حوالي 38 درجة مئوية)، بينما وصل مؤشر الحرارة إلى 111 درجة فهرنهايت (حوالي 44 درجة مئوية) عند الساعة الثانية بعد الظهر، وذلك وفقاً لما أفاد به ديريك فان دام، مراسل شبكة CNN.
