دواء للسكري قد يقلل خطر الجلطات والنوبات القلبية

ما يعرفه ريفو عن الخبر

أظهرت تجارب في جامعة ميشيغان أن عقار سوتاغليفلوزين قد يقلل من فرط تنشيط الصفائح الدموية المسبب للجلطات.
يقلل العقار من تكوّن الجلطات بنحو 60% في التجارب المخبرية والحيوانية مقارنة بعقار إمباغليفلوزين.
قد تتجاوز فوائد العقار المحتملة تأثيره في خفض مستويات السكر في الدم عبر آليات إضافية.
لا تثبت النتائج الحالية أن العقار يمنع النوبات القلبية أو السكتات الدماغية مباشرة لدى البشر بسبب الاعتماد على تجارب مخبرية وحيوانية.

كشفت دراسة علمية عن آلية محتملة تساعد في تفسير قدرة عقار يستخدم لعلاج بعض حالات السكري وفشل القلب على الحد من تكوّن الجلطات الدموية، التي قد تؤدي إلى نوبات قلبية وسكتات دماغية.
