رسالة فانس إلى إيران قد تمثل الأمل الأخير لتجنب صراع جديد في الخليج – مقال في الغارديان

تمثل رسالة نائب الرئيس الأمريكي إلى إيران فرصة أخيرة لتجنب صراع جديد في منطقة الخليج.
تضمنت الرسالة عرضاً لاستئناف المسار الدبلوماسي مقابل تقديم تعهدات بشأن البرنامج النووي الإيراني مقابل تخفيف العقوبات.
تتردد إيران في تقديم التزامات مسبقة غير قابلة للتراجع بسبب مخاوفها من تراجع الولايات المتحدة عن خطواتها المقابلة.
تعتمد الرسالة على تقدير أمريكي بأن سلطة اتخاذ القرار في إيران تقع لدى الأشخاص الأقرب إلى الحرس الثوري.

“تطلب رسالة فانس من إيران الموافقة على تقديم تعهدات بشأن برنامجها النووي، في بداية عملية من شأنها أن تؤدي إلى فتح مضيق هرمز خلال سبعة أيام، مقابل تخفيف العقوبات الأمريكية”.
