شبكة تمتد من الكويت إلى مسقط …دول الخليج تستعد لتوقيع اتفاقية الربط السككي الأسبوع المقبل

تستعد دول مجلس التعاون الخليجي لتوقيع اتفاقية الربط السككي خلال اجتماع وزراء النقل والمواصلات في البحرين في 8 نوفمبر.
يمتد المسار المقترح للشبكة لنحو 2117 كيلومترا ليربط مدينة الكويت بالعاصمة العُمانية مسقط عبر جميع دول المجلس.
تصل سرعة قطارات الركاب إلى 220 كيلومترا في الساعة بينما تتراوح سرعة قطارات الشحن بين 80 و120 كيلومترا في الساعة.
يهدف المشروع إلى تعزيز حركة نقل الركاب والبضائع وتسهيل التنقل والتبادل التجاري وتوسيع الترابط الاقتصادي بين الدول الأعضاء.

تستعد دول مجلس التعاون الخليجي لتوقيع الاتفاقية العامة للربط السككي فيما بينها، خلال اجتماع وزراء النقل والمواصلات المقرر عقده في البحرين في 8 نوفمبر/تشرين الثاني الجاري، في خطوة تستهدف تسريع تنفيذ المشروع وتعزيز التكامل في شبكات النقل بين دول المنطقة.
