أثار الحارس الدنماركي السابق بيتر شمايكل جدلًا واسعًا بعد تصريحاته التي شكك فيها في صحة أحد أهداف النجم الأرجنتيني ليونيل ميسي خلال مواجهة منتخب الأرجنتين أمام النمسا في بطولة كأس العالم 2026. وكان ميسي قد سجل هدفين في المباراة التي انتهت بفوز الأرجنتين، ليرفع رصيده إلى 18 هدفًا في تاريخ مشاركاته بالمونديال، متجاوزًا الرقم القياسي.
