صفقة نظام مراقبة إسرائيلية تشعل خلافا في نيويورك.. الشرطة تتراجع إلى مناقصة تنافسية

قررت إدارة شرطة نيويورك فتح مناقصة تنافسية لشراء نظام مراقبة إسرائيلي بعد فشل عملية الشراء من مصدر وحيد.
يعمل نظام فالكونت على تحديد مواقع الهواتف المستهدفة عبر انتحال هوية برج خلوي بقيمة تقارب 750 ألف دولار.
أثارت الصفقة انتقادات واسعة من أعضاء المجلس بسبب مخاوف من المراقبة الجماعية والتعاون الأمني مع إسرائيل.
أكدت الشرطة أن النظام لا يعترض المكالمات ويستخدم لتحديد مواقع المشتبه بهم والمفقودين في حالات طوارئ محددة.

أعلنت إدارة شرطة نيويورك تخليها عن خطط لشراء نظام مراقبة متقدم للهواتف المحمولة من شركة الاستخبارات الإسرائيلية “كوغنايت” دون مناقصة، بعد انتقادات من حلفاء العمدة زهران ممداني.
