حصل اللاعب الجزائري إبراهيم مازا على نقطة في تصويت جائزة كوبا لأفضل لاعب شاب بعد اختيار ميسي له.
أصبح مازا أول لاعب جزائري في التاريخ يدخل قائمة المرشحين العشرة للجائزة المخصصة للاعبين تحت سن 21 عاما.
احتل مازا المركز التاسع في الترتيب النهائي للجائزة بعد تقديم أداء متميز مع باير ليفركوزن ومنتخب الجزائر.

منح الأرجنتيني ليونيل ميسي صوته لإبراهيم مازا خلف ثنائي برشلونة في استفتاء جائزة أفضل لاعب شاب ضمن جوائز الكرة الذهبية.
