أكد الشاعر عبد المعطي حجازي أن ميزانية التعليم في مصر تبلغ 1.5% بينما تصل إلى 5.6% في فرنسا.
أشار حجازي إلى أن نصف الأطفال المصريين يعجزون عن قراءة نص باللغة العربية بعد إنهاء المرحلة الابتدائية.
أوضح الشاعر أن عدد التلاميذ في الفصل الواحد يصل إلى 70 تلميذاً وهو ما يعادل ثلاثة أضعاف العدد المناسب.
ناقش حجازي في لقاء مفتع بمعهد النقد الفني تدهور الثقافة المصرية والوضع التعليمي الراهن.
