عضوة بـ “المركزي” الأوروبي تطالب برفع أسعار الفائدة

قالت عضو المجلس التنفيذي بالبنك المركزي الأوروبي، إيزابيل شنابل، إن معدلات الفائدة يجب أن ترتفع أكثر فيما يشكل الصراع المطول في الشرق الأوسط وأداء منطقة اليورو القوي بشكل مفاجئ، مخاطر تصاعدية على التضخم.

وقالت المسؤولة الألمانية إنه من المرجح أن يتجاوز نمو أسعار المستهلكين 2% “لفترة طويلة” بسبب ارتفاع تكاليف الطاقة، بحسب وكالة بلومبرغ للأنباء.

وأشارت إلى أن التحرك فقط عندما يؤثر هذا على الأجور سوف يجعل صناع السياسات “متخلفين عن ركب الزمن”.

وأضافت شنابل لوكالة بلومبرغ: “بسعر الفائدة الحالي، من غير المرجح أن يعود التضخم إلى النسبة المستهدفة على المدى المتوسط، وبالتالي سوف يكون من الضروري اتخاذ المزيد من الإجراءات التشديدية”.

وكان البنك المركزي الأوروبي أول بنك مركزي كبير يزيد تكاليف الاقتراض بسبب حرب إيران ووصف المسؤولون اجتماع الشهر المقبل بأنه منعطف حاسم لتحديد ما إذا كان هناك حاجة لمزيد من الإجراءات.
