أكد عفت نصار، نجم الزمالك ومنتخب مصر السابق، أن المدير الفني لمنتخب مصر حسام حسن يتمتع بروح قتالية عالية، مشيرًا إلى أن امتلاكه نفس القدرات الفنية التي يمتلكها من حماس كان سيضع المنتخب في مستوى مختلف. وخلال تصريحات تلفزيونية عبر برنامج «ستاد العاصمة» على قناة ON E، أوضح نصار أن المنتخب المصري يعاني من بعض.
