غابة أُزيلت ومشروع تعثر.. لماذا توقفت أعمال إنشاء مركز بيانات غوغل في فنلندا؟

توقفت أعمال إنشاء مركز بيانات غوغل في فنلندا بعد إزالة نحو 330 هكتارا من الغابات وتغيير المعالم البيئية للمنطقة.
أمرت السلطات الفنلندية الشركة بوقف الأنشطة التحضيرية فوراً بسبب قطع نحو 250 ألف شجرة قبل اكتمال تقييم الأثر البيئي.
أظهرت صور الأقمار الصناعية تحولاً جذرياً في الغطاء النباتي وتوسعاً في الأراضي المجرفة قبل تدخل هيئة التراخيص والرقابة.
قدمت غوغل اعتذاراً علنياً عن إزالة الغابات وأعلنت التزامها بتوجيهات السلطات وتحسين التنوع البيولوجي في المنطقة المتضررة.

أظهرت صور الأقمار الصناعية توقف شركة غوغل عن تجريف غابات موقع مركز بياناتها الجديد في فنلندا استجابة لقرار السلطات. وجاء التوقف إثر انتقادات حادة لإزالتها نحو 250 ألف شجرة قبل استكمال التقييم البيئي.
