فاز لولا دا سيلفا بالانتخابات الرئاسية في البرازيل للمرة الرابعة متفوقا على منافسه فلافيو بولسونارو بفارق يقارب ثلاث نقاط.
يعد هذا الفوز انتصارا لليسار التقدمي وسداً أمام ظاهرة اليمين القومي المتطرف في أمريكا اللاتينية.
أظهرت الانتخابات ثقل البرازيل في العلاقات الدولية وقدرتها على مواجهة التدخلات الأجنبية والضغوط السياسية الخارجية.
يعتبر استمرار لولا دا سيلفا في السلطة تعزيزاً لصوت سياسي وازن يدعم القضايا العادلة مثل القضية الفلسطينية.
