فيتو روسي وأمريكي يعطلان تمديد ولاية بعثة الأمم المتحدة في الصحراء الغربية

ما يعرفه ريفو عن الخبر

  • تعطلت ولاية بعثة الأمم المتحدة للاستفتاء في الصحراء الغربية بسبب استخدام روسيا والولايات المتحدة حق النقض ضد مشروعي قرار متنافسين.
  • ينتهي تفويض البعثة في 31 تشرين الأول/أكتوبر، حيث تضمن المشروع الأمريكي حذف الإشارة إلى الاستفتاء من اسم البعثة.
  • رحب المغرب بعدم التجديد معتبرا إياه تطورا بارزا، بينما حذرت منظمة أوكسفام من تداعيات فقدان البعثة لدورها في مراقبة التصعيد.
  • تضم البعثة 155 فردا عسكريا، وتواجه المنطقة أعمالا قتالية منخفضة الحدة منذ نوفمبر 2020.

فشل مجلس الأمن الدولي الجمعة في تمديد ولاية بعثة الأمم المتحدة للاستفتاء في الصحراء الغربية (مينورسو)، إثر استخدام روسيا والولايات المتحدة حق النقض ضد مشروعي قرار متنافسين، قبل يوم من انتهاء تفويضها. وفيما رحب المغرب بعدم التجديد، معتبرا أن على البعثة مغادرة الإقليم، حذرت منظمة أوكسفام من تداعيات فقدان دورها في المراقبة وخفض التصعيد على المدنيين وفرص التوصل إلى حل سلمي للنزاع.
