تواجه الأمم المتحدة انتقادات حادة في ذكرى تأسيسها الـ81 بسبب فشلها في حماية مدينة الخليل من الحصار والتهجير القسري.
تسببت سياسة حق النقض في تعطيل أكثر من 250 قراراً دولياً لحماية المدنيين وإدانة جرائم الحرب.
تعاني المنظمة من ازدواجية المعايير حيث لم ينفذ أي من أكثر من 800 قرار أممي بشأن القضية الفلسطينية.
تتعرض مدينة الخليل لعمليات إخلاء قسري وهدم ممتلكات واعتقالات واسعة كعقاب جماعي في ظل غياب دور المنظمة.

في مثل يوم امس الموافق 24 أكتوبر 1945 دخل ميثاق الأمم المتحدة حيز التنفيذ. لم تكن مجرد منظمة جديدة، بل كانت محاولة أخيرة لإنقاذ العالم من نفسه. بعد حربين عالميتين قتلتا أكثر من 70 مليون إنسان
