قتيلان في كينيا خلال احتجاجات ضد مشروع أمريكي لمرفق حجر صحي لمرضى إيبولا

أسفرت احتجاجات على خطط الولايات المتحدة لإنشاء مرفق للحجر الصحي لمكافحة فيروس إيبولا في كينيا عن مقتل شخصين على الأقل وفق ما أفاد أحد منظمي الاحتجاج ومصدر أمني. وتتضمن الخطة إنشاء وحدة تضم 50 سريرا لإيواء الأمريكيين الذين تعرضوا للفيروس في جمهورية الكونغو الديمقراطية أو أوغندا ‌ما أثار غضب العديد من مواطني كينيا الذين يتهمون الولايات المتحدة بالتخلص من عبء رعاية المرضى الذي قد يشكل خطرا صحيا عاما. من جهة أخرى، علقت محكمة كينية الثلاثاء خطط إنشاء المرفق الصحي لنحو أربعة أسابيع.
