ينصح خبراء السفر باتباع استراتيجية الحجز الدفاعي لتفادي تعقيدات الرحلات الجوية الناتجة عن سوء الأحوال الجوية أو الأعطال التقنية.
يُنصح بالمغادرة قبل الموعد المحدد بيوم واحد في العطلات لضمان الحصول على قسط من الراحة وتفادي القلق من تأخر الأمتعة.
يُفضل حجز الرحلات المباشرة رغم تكلفتها الأعلى، وحجز التذاكر مباشرة عبر شركات الطيران لضمان سرعة التعامل مع المشكلات التقنية.
