انتقد زعيم الجمهوريين في لجنة الرقابة بمجلس النواب وزير الدفاع بيت هيغسيث بسبب الهزيمة في انتخابات التجديد النصفي.
يخطط عضو جمهوري آخر لإجراء تصويت على عزل وزير الدفاع عند عودة الكونغرس للاجتماع الأسبوع المقبل.
طالب نائب ديمقراطي بعزل وزير الدفاع ووزير الصحة والخدمات الإنسانية لمحاسبتهم على الفوضى والفساد.
أكد وزير الدفاع عزمه على الاستمرار في منصبه حتى نهاية ولاية ترامب والتصدي لمحاولات عزله.

(CNN)– ألقى زعيم الجمهوريين في لجنة الرقابة بمجلس النواب الأمريكي انتقادات باللوم على وزير الدفاع بيت هيغسيث في أعقاب الهزيمة الثقيلة التي مُني بها الحزب في انتخابات التجديد النصفي، وقال، الجمعة: “ليس لدينا أدنى فكرة عن الاستراتيجية التي سيتم اتباعها تجاه إيران في المرحلة المقبلة”.
