لـ 99 مليون دولار.. أستراليا تشدد حظر استخدام الأطفال لوسائل التواصل وتزيد الغرامات

كشفت الحكومة الأسترالية، اليوم، عن مضاعفة الحد الأقصى للغرامات المفروضة على شركات التكنولوجيا التي يثبت عدم امتثالها لقانون حظر استخدام الأطفال دون 16 عامًا لمنصات التواصل الاجتماعي، في خطوة تهدف إلى تعزيز تطبيق التشريع وسط مؤشرات على محدودية تأثيره حتى الآن. وبموجب التعديلات الجديدة، سترتفع الغرامة القصوى في حال تكرار المخالفة من 49.5 مليون دولار.
