طمأنت وزارة الصحة المصرية أولياء الأمور بعد تداول مخاوف حول انتشار فيروس الخناق الحنجري بين طلاب المدارس.
أكدت الوزارة أن معدلات الإصابة بالأمراض التنفسية حالياً تقع ضمن الحدود الموسمية المعتادة ولا يوجد تفشٍ غير معتاد.
يعد الخناق الحنجري مرضاً موسمياً يصيب الحنجرة والقصبة الهوائية، وتعد الفئة العمرية من 6 أشهر إلى 3 سنوات هي الأكثر عرضة له.
تتميز الإصابة بسعال ذو صوت عالٍ وبحة في الصوت، ويمكن علاج الحالات الخفيفة في المنزل بالأدوية التي لا تستلزم وصفة طبية.

يثير الخناق الحنجري مخاوف في مصر، بينما تؤكد وزارة الصحة أن معدلات الإصابة تقع ضمن المعدلات الموسمية المعتادة. فما الخناق الحنجري، وكيف يمكن التمييز بينه وبين الأمراض التنفسية الأخرى لدى الأطفال؟
