مصر.. كيف يمكن أن تتحول “مشروعات قومية” إلى “كوارث بيئية”؟

تواجه بعض المشروعات القومية في مصر انتقادات واسعة بسبب آثارها البيئية السلبية وتأثيراتها على التوازن البيئي البحري.
أدت توسعات قناة السويس إلى تسريع انتقال كائنات بحرية غير محلية مما يهدد التنوع الأحيائي في البحر المتوسط.
أثار مشروع محطة الطاقة النووية جدلاً واسعاً حول جدواه الاقتصادية ومخاطر التسرب الإشعاعي والتخلص من النفايات النووية.
كشفت تقارير عن مشكلات بيئية في شرم الشيخ تتعلق بإعادة رصف الطرق وتلف ألواح الطاقة الشمسية وانتشار رياضات مائية مضرة.

تسعى مصر، كغيرها من الدول، إلى الالتزام بالحفاظ على البيئة خصوصاً في المشروعات التنموية الكبرى. لكن في ظل غياب الرقابة والمحاسبة وعدم الاهتمام بالآراء المخالفة كانت النتائج، أو ما يُتوقع أن تكون عليه الأمور، كارثية.
