معهد إسرائيلي: الديمقراطيون يجهزون «سلاح العقوبات» ضد الاستيطان في الضفة

حذر معهد إسرائيلي من اتساع التوافق داخل الحزب الديمقراطي الأمريكي لفرض عقوبات على المستوطنين والجهات الداعمة للاستيطان في الضفة الغربية.
يعد الديمقراطيون خمسة مسارات تشريعية تشمل حظر التأشيرات وتجميد الأصول ومنع استيراد المنتجات المصنوعة في المستوطنات.
يشمل التوافق الديمقراطي شخصيات من المؤسسة التقليدية المؤيدة للاحتلال مما يعكس تحولاً في استخدام أدوات الضغط والقيود القانونية.
قد تشكل هذه الإجراءات أساساً لنظام عقوبات أمريكي واسع قد يكتسب زخماً مع انعقاد الكونغرس الجديد في عام 2029.
