منظمة الصحة تعلن خطة لستة أشهر بقيمة 518 مليون دولار لمكافحة إيبولا

أعلن المدير العام لمنظمة الصحة العالمية تيدروس أدهانوم غيبريسوس اليوم الجمعة عن خطة مدتها ستة أشهر بقيمة 518 مليون دولار لمكافحة فيروس إيبولا، معبراً عن تفاؤله حيال إمكانية احتواء تفشي المرض.

وفي أثناء إعلانه عن خطة مشتركة مع المراكز الأفريقية لمكافحة الأمراض والوقاية منها من حزيران/ يونيو إلى تشرين الثاني/ نوفمبر، قال غيبريسوس: “نحن لا نبدأ من الصفر، فهذه الخطة تستند إلى تفشي المرض في الماضي وحالات الطوارئ الصحية السابقة”.

وأضاف: “يتطلب احتواء فيروس إيبولا التزاماً سياسياً وتمويلاً مستداماً وثقة في إشراك المجتمعات المحلية”.
