واشنطن تتهم الحوثيين بقتل موظف أممي وإخفاء جثمانه

  • اتهمت السفارة الأمريكية لدى اليمن الحوثيين بالتسبب في وفاة موظف في مفوضية الأمم المتحدة لحقوق الإنسان وإخفاء جثمانه لأشهر.
  • حُرم الموظف من الزيارات والاتصالات مع أسرته طوال فترة احتجازه لدى الحوثيين.
  • طالبت السفارة الأمريكية بالإفراج الفوري وغير المشروط عن جميع المحتجزين من موظفي الأمم المتحدة والبعثات الدبلوماسية والمنظمات الإنسانية.
  • أعلنت الأمم المتحدة وفاة الموظف في يونيو 2024 ودعت إلى إجراء تحقيق مستقل وشامل لكشف ملابسات وفاته.

اتهمت السفارة الأمريكية لدى اليمن، الثلاثاء، الحوثيين بالتسبب في وفاة محمد الشامي، الموظف في مكتب مفوضية الأمم المتحدة لحقوق الإنسان، أثناء احتجازه لديهم، وإخفاء جثمانه لأشهر بعد وفاته، مطالبة بالإفراج الفوري وغير المشروط عن جميع المحتجزين من موظفي الأمم المتحدة والبعثات الدبلوماسية والمنظمات الإنسانية. وقالت السفارة، في بيان، إن الشامي، وهو أب لثلاثة أطفال، حُرم.
